It might be obvious, but as an organization that sells life insurance, we care about people’s lives. We especially care about our members and our associates. We want them to experience well-being in all aspects of their lives: physical, emotional, financial, environmental, intellectual, occupational, social, and spiritual.
That’s why I’m so proud of our well-being program at WoodmenLife. We work hard to address all of the well-being factors in the various activities, promotions and educational efforts we organize for our associates.
Our efforts were recently recognized by WELLCOM and the American Heart Association. WoodmenLife was named a Fit Friendly Gold workplace at the Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award Luncheon. The luncheon honors organizations for positioning wellness programs as a strategic business opportunity and making a difference in their employees’ lives.
We don’t employ a full-time well-being consultant, operate a free Wellness Center and offer associate lunch ‘n’ learns for awards – we do these things to improve our associates’ lives. But we’re very grateful for the recognition and we see it as validation of a program that we keep improving upon.
