Following the Falcons

Think out-of-the-box

We have a brave chick that has ventured out of the box and his/her
siblings have been keeping a close eye on him/her. Hera has been bringing
the chick food and the chick has been taking a few steps down the ledge.
The rest of the chicks have been flexing their wings and picking at their
down. They are kind of looking a little prehistoric in the face. It’s
amazing how much they change in just over a few days.

Where are all the babies??? I saw 2 on the ledge on Friday and now it looks like there’s only one in the box and NONE on the ledge!?

Thank you for posting this blog. I have been watching this family since the babes were still eggs but I just found the blog today. I was concerned to see there is only one chick in the nest today; when I left them Friday, there were 4 happy healthy chicks in the box. I was glad to see your blog with the info that they are starting to leave the box and I hope they are safe. I enjoy watching them and keep the feed up on one of my screens while I work.
