Say Hello to Our 3 Lovely Ladies and Enter Name Ideas

Three peregrine falcon chicks at WoodmenLife Tower.

Wildlife experts came to WoodmenLife Tower to band our three falcons. Guess what? They are all girls!

Now that our three female falcons are banded, it’s time for the best part—choosing their names.

What would you name them? We really want to know!

Submit your names at There is a Falcon Naming Contest tab on the left.

You have until Friday, June 22, to submit a set of three names. We’ll narrow the list of entries and present the top five sets on Monday, June 25. The voting will continue through Friday,  June 29.

The winning names will be announced Tuesday, July 3. The person who enters the winning set of names will be invited to next year’s banding! If you happened to miss  this year’s banding, watch it on WoodmenLife’s Facebook page.

Another huge thanks to our friends at Raptor Recovery, Fontenelle Forest and Nebraska Game and Parks for coming to the WoodmenLife Tower today to band and examine our falcons.
