Angie Hempel

Angie has been a writer and editor at WoodmenLife since 2003. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Omaha Council Bluffs Metro Chapter and the Public Relations Society of America Nebraska Chapter, and serves on the Community Advisory Board for the Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. She mentors a Little Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteers with organizations like the Nebraska Writers Collective and Meals on Wheels. She was chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Omahans by the Jaycees in 2012. She and her husband Michael love to cook, travel and chase after their baby boy Corbin, Jack Russell Terrier Sadie and parakeet Larry.
